Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine
8th Mar, 2022
Like all those who cherish peace and democracy, Clúid Housing is deeply concerned and saddened by the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Clúid’s vision is a society where everyone has a great place to live, and the suffering of the Ukrainian people has compelled us to evaluate what we can do to assist. Glenveagh and Clúid are investigating options to provide temporary accommodation for Ukrainian refugees in units awaiting planning and/or refurbishment to permanent housing. These units would be available for the duration of the planning process (approx. two years) and may offer some support and comfort to innocent families fleeing this unjust conflict.
We hope this crisis will be resolved quickly, with Ukrainians able to safely return to their homes soon. Our thoughts are with them all.
