·        Salary: €90,000

 

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Change & Transformation, the QA Test Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions before deployment. This position is responsible for defining and implementing rigorous testing strategies, managing a team of testers, and collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and key stakeholders to uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and communication skills. They will be adept at designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement in quality assurance processes. Passionate about fostering a culture of excellence, they will contribute to the development and deployment of a robust QA framework that supports the organization’s transformation goals

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and procedures to ensure software quality and reliability.

·        Oversee test planning, including the creation of test cases, management of test schedules, and execution of functional, End to End, regression, User Acceptance, performance, and security testing.

·        Establish and manage an effective defect tracking process, ensuring issues are recorded and prioritized, ensuring appropriate resolution in collaboration with key stakeholders.

·        Lead and manage a team of testers, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure high-quality testing is delivered within project timelines.

·        Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to testers to enhance technical skills, testing methodologies, and overall team capability.

·        Work closely with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure testing requirements are clearly defined, understood, and met.

·        Track, analyze, and report on key testing metrics, such as defect density, code coverage, and testing progress, to drive continuous improvement.

·        Collaborate across departments and stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts, align with business objectives, and optimize quality assurance practices.

·        Manage relationships with vendors and external solution providers, ensuring third-party tools and services align with testing needs and quality standards.

·        Partner with the Head of Change & Transformation to enhance QA processes as part of a broader end-to-end Project & Change Management framework, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

People Management

 

·        Lead, mentor, and manage the QA Test team, ensuring employees are supported in their development, motivated to perform at their best, and resources are utilized efficiently.

·        Work closely with People & Culture to attract and recruit top talent, ensuring a seamless hiring process, a structured and comprehensive induction plan, and proactive management of the probation period.

·        Foster a positive team culture by implementing engagement initiatives that promote collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

·        Provide continuous support, coaching, and feedback to team members, helping them enhance their skills, improve performance, and achieve career development goals.

·        Develop and implement individual employee development plans and a team-wide growth strategy to align skills and capabilities with business objectives.

·        Partner with People & Culture to ensure salaries and benefits remain competitive externally and equitable internally, supporting employee retention and satisfaction.

·        Champion a safe and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies while encouraging participation in company-wide and team wellbeing initiatives.

·        Drive a culture of excellence and service delivery, embedding the organization’s vision, mission, and values into daily team operations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

·        In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques

·        Experience in Agile development methodologies

·        Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members

·        Microsoft Office Suite

·        Minimum of 5 year of experience in software testing role with 2+ years in managerial role.
