The Finance Department provides a range of services in support of Clúid’s primary mission “quality housing and services to enable people to create homes and thriving communities”. It is led by the Chief Finance Officer and supported by the Head of Finance, Head of Procurement, Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury and Head of Risk & Assurance.

 

Role:  Finance Manager
Location: 159 -161 Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1 (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent 

Salary: €57,224 – €78,683
Hours: 35 Hours per week

 

Role Overview: 
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Manager is also responsible for Business Partnering with the business to provide insightful management information to senior management. 

 

Key responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Manage planning and production of the management accounts, annual financial statements, financial KPI’s, and the coordination / compilation of associated schedules and working papers to meet statutory audit requirements. 
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Head of Finance (HOF) in the production of ad hoc reports for Committees and Board as directed. 
  • Manage all tax compliance returns of the organisation both periodically and annually. This includes VAT, LPT, RCT and PAYE returns. 
  • Support the production of regulatory returns and supporting analyses as required. This includes returns to the Charities Regulator, Housing Regulator, ICSH, RTB, CSO and any similar returns required by public agencies or funders. 
  • Internal Audit support where required on financial matters and CFO topics. 
  • Support the development and implement ESG reporting strategies in support of our ESG organisation in a timely, relevant and engaging manner. 
  • Support the development of the Annual Report (including ESG elements) collaborating with stakeholders. Oversee financial and ESG data collection and submissions from each department, consolidation of metrics, and recurring reporting. 
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process to meet statutory audit requirements. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries. 
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

 

Financial Performance & Analysis 

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations. 
  • Analysis of monthly actual vs budget performance. 
  • Monthly meetings with business managers to review actual vs budget performance. 
  • Manage on the annual budget process, including budget compilation and production of reports as required in line with the Clúid’s current business plan. 
  • Prepare and present forecasts as required
  • Analyse ESG performance and positioning; track progress, identify opportunities for improvement.

 

Business Partnering 

  • Supporting business managers to better interpret financial and operational data to inform business decision making.
  • Preparation and analysis of financial metrics and other data in the enhancement of procedures and / or the initiation of change initiatives to ensure key operational and financial targets are delivered. 
  • Leading recurring monthly meetings with business managers to review management accounts, financial metrics, to support business managers understand their financial performance, remaining budgets, and cost efficiency/effectiveness opportunities. 
  • Support the business during the annual budget/forecasts build.

 

Project / Subject Matter Expert Support 

  • Support departments prepare financial CBA’s for projects, and scrutiny of the same to ensure accuracy and deliverability. 
  • Support business managers to review management performance and metrics to identify and implement cost efficiency/effectiveness opportunities. 
  • Support business managers and internal finance to develop automated financial data and reporting for analysis for both recurring and ad-hoc requests.

People Management (Where Applicable) 

  • To provide direction to and manage team to ensure the development and progression of employees and the most efficient use of resources  
  • Collaborate with People & Culture to ensure the best candidate/s are recruited for any vacancy in your team, to develop a thorough induction plan and actively manage the probation process 
  • Manage staff and team engagement activities 
  • Provide team members with support and guidance to enhance their performance.  
  • Create annual individual employee development and team plan        
  • Collaborate with CPO to ensure Clúid remain externally competitive and internally equitable for the roles within your remit 
  • Ensure that your staff work in a safe environment and actively partake in any company wide or team wellbeing activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • ACA, ACCA Qualification
  • Degree in Finance or similar related field
  • Excellent Excel experience
  • Experience of working ina team environment
  • Well versed in performance management data analysis reporting
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
