ABOUT CLÚID

Clúid Housing is an award-winning, not-for-profit housing body providing over 12,000 affordable, high-quality homes to people in housing need.

Clúid is the leading Approved Housing Body (AHB) in Ireland.

There are currently nearly 60,000 households on local authority waiting lists for social housing.

As Clúid is a not-for-profit housing body, our team know it is essential that we operate efficiently and effectively and ensure that our financial stewardship is of the highest standard.

  • our vision

Clúid’s vision is a society where everyone has a great place to live.

  • our mission

Clúid aims to achieve its vision by providing quality housing and services to enable people to create homes and thriving communities.

our values

Clúid’s mission is to make having a secure place to live and call home in Ireland a real possibility for the majority, not just the minority. Building integrated and inclusive communities that reflect all strands of society.

This kind of social change needs lots of dedicated, talented people caring about what they do and how they do it. That’s you! And everyone who works in Clúid.

Our vision of a society where everyone has a great place to live, directs everything we do in Clúid, it points the way.

Our four values form the cornerstones of our culture in Clúid
Moving Together

Clúid’s mission is big, and it takes all of us growing and evolving together to move the dial on housing in Ireland. To do this, we rely on each other: to inspire each other, to challenge each other, to support each other.

Our baseline of respect and appreciation means that, should differences arise, we can work past them, and see them as a chance to find new and better ways of doing things. When the unexpected happens, we are flexible and able to respond swiftly and collaboratively, so we can change course without too much bother. All of this combined leaves us free to do our very best work and make the very best decisions: the ones that create the most positive impact.

How we live Moving Together

  • We motivate those around us with our positive approach.
  • We listen to understand.
  • Working together, our focus is firmly set on moving forward, with respect for each other’s time and contributions.
  • We stay flexible and ready to change course when needed to achieve the maximum positive impact.
  • We communicate with clarity, keeping us effective and aligned.
  • We make thoughtful decisions that create positive impact.

25 years

In 2019 Clúid Housing celebrated 25 years of delivering high-quality social housing in Ireland.

From day one, our vision has always been the same – a society where everyone has a great place to live. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents and stakeholders for their support in helping us realise Clúid’s vision and mission, since it first came into existence in 1994.

Commemorative Book

To mark our 25th year, we have curated a commemorative book of inspirational photos and reflections from the people who make our work so important – our residents. Entitled Home is where the Heart is, the book features residents from across the country telling us what home means to them.
