Regeneration: St. Mary’s Mansions, Dublin 1

Clúid is pleased to have delivered 80 new homes at St. Mary’s Mansions, Dublin 1. St. Mary’s Mansions, in Dublin’s North East Inner City, was built by Dublin Corporation over 70 years ago. Clúid has given the complex a total refurbishment bringing it up to current standards, including the addition of two new floors to create 80 well-sized, high-quality modern apartments and duplexes.

This €23m regeneration project was financed through the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Housing Finance Agency (HFA) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The regeneration work allowed for the creation of several communal features to help build upon the already existing community spirit in the area. This involves play areas, a community room, socially aware landscaping and a central courtyard to support community activities. Having worked with Clúid on the redesign, more than 20 families returned to their homes after the regeneration work was completed in 2020.
