2023 Great Place to Live Winners
29th Nov, 2023
Our Great Place to Live competition celebrates the efforts of individuals and communities to make their neighbourhood a great place to live. Each year, there are three categories: Best Neighbourhood Award, Biodiversity & Sustainability and the Community Neighbour Award.
The community in Taylor Hill, Dublin, won this year’s Best Neighbourhood Award. Residents there have created a vibrant community with a genuine sense of inclusivity. They established the Taylor Hill Youth group in 2023, providing a safe space for children aged 10-14 years to play, learn, and flourish. This initiative has been highly successful to date.
This year’s Biodiversity and Sustainability award winner, Ballygraigue, created a beautiful herb garden for residents to visit. They also made blackcurrant jam out of the blackcurrants growing in the polytunnel which they added to the estate.
Congratulations also to the winners of our Community Neighbour Awards, Michelle McGoldrick of Belmayne, Caoimhe Grace of Ballygraigue Court and Paddy Gibney of Farnderg.
A testament to the invaluable contributions you all make to your community, and thank you so much to everyone who participated in this year’s awards.
