International Women’s Day
8th Mar, 2022

Today is International Women’s Day, a day where the world acknowledges the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Today we celebrate the women of Clúid and all those who empower and support them!

The theme for IWD2022 is #breakthebias. We are asked to imagine a gender equal world, a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. We are reminded that we can all break the bias in our communities and our workplaces. Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.

Clúid Housing celebrates all diversity, understanding that it is by celebrating our differences and our individuality that we can achieve great things. We pro-actively try to eliminate bias in our recruitment policy by having gender balanced panels and placing focus on competencies, skills, and experience.

In line with the global celebrations, we ask that all Clúid staff further commit to practicing self-awareness, calling out bias, breaking inequality, and rejecting discrimination in our workplace.

Did you know?
• 46% of Clúid’s staff of 282 are female
• Four out of six of the Executive Team members are female
• 54% of the Heads of Clúid’s departments are female
