Launch Event – Measuring the Social Impact of AHBs in Ireland
25th Sep, 2023

Join Clúid Housing, Respond, and Circle Voluntary Housing Association for a webinar to launch a new framework for measuring the social impact of Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) in Ireland.

AHBs provide those in housing need with access to quality homes that enable them to participate fully in society. While we can measure the number of homes delivered, or households in secure, permanent accommodation, it is more difficult to measure the positive ripple effect a stable home has on society more broadly.

In collaboration, Clúid Housing, Respond, and Circle Voluntary Housing Association commissioned Just Economics to develop a bespoke measurement framework to capture the broad reaching activities and social impact of AHBs in Ireland, and their potential role in creating and supporting sustainable communities beyond the social and affordable homes they deliver.

The intention is that this tool will be used by the wider AHB sector, contributing to the creation of a robust body of evidence that captures the real impact and benefits of social housing for residents and communities. In the future such data will be invaluable in improving services and contributing to an understanding of the role of AHBs in Irish society and social progress.

Who should attend?
• AHB employees, board members, in particular those involved in delivering housing services, resident engagement and outreach or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting
• Central and local government officials involved in housing policy and/or delivery
• Anyone interested in housing, social impact and its measurement.
